Coconut production encompasses a wide variety of foods, beverages, and other goods derived from different parts of the coconut, such as the flesh, water, husk, and fiber. These products undergo various processing methods to transform a whole coconut into shredded or dried coconut.
Production Process:
1. Removal of Coconut Palm Fiber:
After harvesting the coconuts, a Coconut Shell Grinding Machine is used to remove the outer shell. The machine peels and transports the coconut in one step while automatically sorting the coconut and skin in different directions for efficient peeling. This process is suitable for coconuts of various sizes.
2. Removal of Coconut Shell:
A semi-automatic Coconut Shelling Machine is utilized to separate the hard husk from the outer layer of the coconut using a circular cutter head with hard alloy cutters and wedge-shaped top cutters driven by geared motors. This machine features simple structure, low price, convenient operation, easy maintenance,and individual independent use with wide adaptability (two types available).
3. Separation of Flesh and Shell:
Once the shell is removed, any remaining debris is separated from the flesh.
4. Cutting into Shreds:
The clean coconut flesh is then cut into thin shreds using a shredding or slicing machine that allows adjustment of shred size and shape according to product requirements.
5. Drying Process for Coconuts:
The shredded coconut undergoes drying to eliminate excess moisture which extends shelf life and enhances texture.
Coconut drying machines are also used in this process along with equipment for producing crispy coconuts.
